On day one Daniel and I drove from GA to Missouri making our way through 5 states! After seeing Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinous and Missouri we decided that Tennessee has the best scenery. We stopped to eat at Ruby Falls hoping to grab a quick bite as we walked to see the falls. We discovered however that to see the underground falls would cost us $40 and two hours. So we got back in the car and were on our way.

In Kentucky we drove through a pretty wicked storm and looked at a lot of cows and farm land. Then in Illinous and Missouri we saw more farm land, cows and lots of corn. Super exciting I know!

We thought it was fitting to stop in St. Louis to visit the Arch because after all it sybolizes the gateway to the west and that is exactly where we are headed. It is a site to see! Pictures do not do it justice. We were lucky enough to be there around sunset so the view from the top was fantastic. It overlooks the city on one side and the mighty Mississippi River on the other. We then walked down to the landing where we had a good dinner and sampled some of the local beer.
This morning we are headed to Colorado if we can survive the most boring drive ever....KANSAS!
Until next time...
